Curtis Pitts has over 40 years of Civil Rights experience, 25+ years of Race Relations Mediation Experience, more than 20 years of Developing Urban and Sustainable Communities, and over 30 years of organizing Gang Prevention programs at the grassroots level.
Mr. Pitts was a staff member and Assistant National March Coordinator for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change of Atlanta, Georgia and the Southern Christian Leadership Council National Office of Atlanta, Georgia.
Curtis is the President of the International Institute for Improving Race Relations located in Topeka, Kansas. He is the former Chairman of the City of Topeka's Human Relations Commission.
Voted one of the “Top 10 Up and Coming African American Leaders in the United States" by Coretta Scott King of the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change, motivational speaker Curtis Pitts is an award-winning community activist, keynote speaker, and philanthropist.

BUILDING BETTER RACE RELATIONS TRAINING
Nationally, racial tensions are on the rise. When racial identities come under threat, they invariably become the primary identities for individuals and communities. With race relations as an essential aspect of almost every conflict, interveners and resolvers are challenged to discover ways to resolve these intractable, difficult-to-resolve conflicts.
Training includes:
- 8 hours of group training for leadership and employees in either a day-long session with lunch break or two four-hour training sessions on separate days on how to Improve race relations in your organization.
